CY Types
Designed for use in applications requiring an electrical screen. The inclusion of a tinned copper wire braid screen makes them suitable for connection between mobile and fixed equipment. However, this type of cable is not recommended for applications where it is subject to repeated flexing or twisting.

SY Types
Designed for use in applications where mechanical protection is a primary requirement. The inclusion of a galvanised steel wire braid armour provides mechanical protection while still offering a high degree of flexibility.

Minimum ambient temp: The cable should not be flexed when either the ambient or cable temperature is below 0°C
