Concordia are the UK's leading main flex cables supplier. Our PVC insulated cords and cables are generally to BS 6500. The products are based upon Cenelec HD 21 harmonised designs.
These cords are primarily intended for direct connection to mains power supplies, and should be used in accordance with BS 7671, "Requirements for Electrical Installations".

Arctic Grade:
This range of cables is designed to the general requirements within BS 6500, but are insulated and sheathed with low temperature PVC. They are commonly used for outdoor applications on construction sites, temporary lighting, traffic lights or small power supplies. They are suitable for operation down to -20°C.
LSOH Flexible Cables 300-500 V
Light Duty Flexes 21***Y:
Light duty PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cord, parallel twin, circular twin, 3-core and 4 core, 300/300 V. Typical uses include cord sets, extension leads, mains supply to power tools and domestic appliances.
Light Duty Heat Resistant Flexes:
Light duty PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cord, parallel twin, circular twin, 3-core and 4 core, 300/300 V. Insulated and sheathed with heat resistant PVC to enable continuous operation at a conductor temperature of 90°C. Typical uses are for connections to hot water cylinders or boilers.
Ordinary Duty Flexes 31xxxY:
Intended for direct connection to mains power supplies up to and including 300v to earth and 500v between phases, used under conditions envisaged in the IEE "Regulations for Electrical Installations". Typical uses include cord sets, extension leads, and mains supply to power tools and domestic appliances.
Ordinary Duty Heat Resistant Flexes:
Ordinary duty PVC insulated and sheathed flexible cord, parallel twin, circular twin, 3-core, 4-core and 5-core, 300/500V. Insulated and sheathed with heat resistant PVC to enable continuous operation at a conductor temperature of 90°C. Typical uses are for connections to hot water cylinders or boilers
